On October 9th, 2017 Przemysław Witek will be the soloist of the Inauguration Concert of the Academic Year 2017/2018 in the Poznań Academy of Music. Together with the Academy's Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Warcisław Kunc he will perform Symphonie concertante op. 60 by Karol Szymanowski. 'The choice of the piece is not accidental. 85 years ago, on October 9th, 1932 the world premiere of this piece took place in the Great Theater in Poznań with Grzegorz Fitelberg as a conductor and composer himself as a soloist'. On April 8th, 2017 Przemysław Witek performed Johannes Brahms' 2nd Piano Concerto in B flat major op. 83 with the CoOperate Orchestra under baton of Adam Domurat during the closing concert of the Brahms Festival organized in Poznan Academy of Music.
Przemysłąw Witek will have his Japanese debut concert in Kioi Hall in Tokyo on March 24th, 2017. He will perform W.A. Mozart Piano Concerto in C minor K. 491 together with Mozart Virtuoso Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Mitsuyoshi Oikawa. After this concert the pianist will travel to Singapore to play a Chopin recital at Shaw Symphony Stage on March 26th, 2017.
On December 14th Przemysław Witek will play the works of Mieczysław Weinberg in the Concert Hall of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. The first half of the concert will consist the solo pieces (2nd Piano Sonata in A minor op. 8, Children Notebooks op. 16). In the second half, together with Dorota Warcaba (1st violin), Katarzyna Szydłowska (2nd violin), Tomasz Citak (viola) and Łukasz Dziedziak (cello) the pianist will perform the Piano Quintet op. 18. On the next day Przemysław Witek will give a lecture about the Weinberg works in the context of cultural, historical and bographical influences.
